The Skinny On Good SEO
One of the many things that people find out when they begin to explore the Internet with the intention of generating some income is that websites have to be promoted. Simply launching a website and then sitting back waiting for it to become successful is not the way to go, because its like standing on the side of a road with everyone whizzing right by you. The Internet is a highly competitive place to do business and if you don’t have a good grasp of the fundamentals of SEO then everyone who does is going to be whizzing right by you.
SEO stands for “search engine optimization” and what it means is taking the steps necessary to have your website prominently displayed in the search engine results when someone types in a keyword or a key phrase. The best place to be positioned is on the very top of the first page that is displayed, because this is where almost everyone begins to brows websites after they have typed in a keyword or key phrase. One important thing that you can do is to make sure that the text in your website is rich in keywords and 12-15% is optimal.
One thing that you don’t want to do is to load the text up with so many keywords that it is bad to read, because it is important to remember that attracting people to your website and then repulsing them is not a good thing. Some keywords and key phrases are easier to write around and fit in then others so you have to select just what is best for you then write and edit your text until it reads natural and well and isn’t obviously crammed full of keywords. If there are pictures in your website then you want to caption them with keywords as well.
