There are many various ways to drive business opportunity leads to your web site. There are various ways to garnish traffic which do not even take “half” the time or effort that an SEO (search engine optimization) campaign would take.

If this is the case…Why even consider SEO as an option? Why mess with it?

Well, the main reason you do it is because of the quantity and quality of traffic you are obtaining for your home based business. If you can get your web site to the top of any of the search engines ranking pages, you cannot fail. You can pretty much plug in any solid business and you will earn money.

That’s it in a nutshell. Getting high quality keyword and keyword phrases to the top page of the beast they call Google ensures your success.

There is a catch though. SEO is hard work! It takes a lot of time and effort to drive your home based business to the top. Here is something to think about.

If you have a brand new domain name and are going after one of the more highly sought keyword phrases, you are probably looking at over a year at least before you will get to the top. That is if your on page optimization is configured correctly. That means links, keywords, code, and content are set up the way they should be. It also entails that you are being consistent with your off page optimization as well which includes garnishing links, back links, and page rank for your site.

Think about that. More than likely, again depending on your keywords, top ranking could take much longer than one year. This is why many go for your lower type traffic keywords. They are easier to obtain and do not take as long. With a new domain name, you are probably still looking at six months. There are indications that there are algorithms in effect that keep newer domain names from grabbing top positions within six months. If you are going after a particular niche, your timeline shortens considerably.

If you have a domain name that has aged for quite some time, the time line again becomes much smaller. Again, it all depends on the keywords, keyword phrases, and aging of your domain name as to how long you will have to work to achieve high positions.

Here’s the thing though. Most people are not willing or able to have the patience to hang with SEO for the long run. If you go into SEO with a plan and decide before hand that you are going to stick to it, you will succeed!

There are other things you can do to drive traffic to your site while engaging SEO. As a matter of fact, if you are getting started with a home based business opportunity, you should be (at the beginning) plotting out various methods to get traffic to your site “while” you are already doing SEO.

There definitely is no better or higher quality of business opportunity lead that you can target. These are people searching for what you have to offer!
